Lawrie Wilson scored the only goal against Wycombe as Stevenage won 1-0 to stretch their unbeaten run to 11 league games .

Highly-rated 24-year-old midfielder Wilson slotted home in the 82nd minute when the impressive Luke Freeman, on-loan from Arsenal, picked him out on the left. Wilson had already seen one effort saved by Wanderers goalkeeper Nikki Bull. At the other end, the recently-prolific Marcelo Trotta chipped over the crossbar when it looked easier to score. Wycombe thought they should have been playing against 10 men when Stuart Beavon was hauled down by Jon Ashton on the edge of the box but the Boro defender only received a yellow card. With the game failing to ignite, visiting boss Graham Westley made a double change. Freeman and fellow Arsenal youngster Chuks Aneke were introduced and it almost paid off instantly when Wilson was denied. Wanderers should have taken the lead when Trotta saw his header saved by Chris Day before he scooped a second effort over the bar. The hosts were punished for their profligacy with eight minutes to go when Wilson worked himself into space and finished off Freeman's good work.
