Le Fondre hits second-half equaliser after Bradbury penalty

Rochdale salvaged a point when coming from behind to draw 1-1 with Bournemouth at Spotland. The home side created the better chances and bossed the first half only to fall a goal behind on the stroke of half-time to a controversial penalty decision. A long punt upfield by Bournemouth goalkeeper Shwan Jalal sent Matt Tubbs racing into Dale's penalty area, with referee Graham Laws pointing to the spot for a pull on his shirt by Marcus Holness. Dale manager Keith Hill protested that Tubbs was in an offside position when the ball came forward but his side went one down when Lee Bradbury stepped forward to slam the penalty down the centre of Sam Russell's goal. The home side had tested Jalal with a 30-yard rising drive from Adam Le Fondre just two minutes into the game while Lee McEvilly had a shot blocked and Will Buckley fired wide after a mesmerising run at the visitors' goal. But they levelled in the 67th minute when a one-two between Clark Keltie and Le Fondre ended with the striker peeling off his marker and thumping a thunderous finish into the roof of the net from 12 yards.
