Lyon missed the chance to close in on the Ligue 1 title after being held to a goalless draw at Nice. The draw leaves Lyon five points clear of Bordeaux in the race for the Championship. Le Mans missed the chance to close the gap on the leading pack after being held to a goalless draw at Lorient. Nancy moved into third spot with a 3-0 victory over struggling Strasbourg. Jimmy Briand's last-gasp goal earned Rennes a 2-2 draw at Caen. Jerome Leory fired Rennes in front on 31 minutes, only for Lilian Compan to draw Caen level on 54 minutes. Rennes were reduced to ten men on 78 minutes when Stephane M'Bia was sent off and Caen made their numerical advantage count when Benjamin Nivet fired them in front three minutes from time. That looked like being enough for Caen until Briand popped up five minute into injury-time to earn Rennes an unlikely point.
