Oldham's on-loan Blackburn striker Jordan Slew is set to spend 12 weeks out after suffering a stress fracture of the back.
The 20-year-old scored on his Latics debut against Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup last month but has since been plagued by back problems during his short time at Boundary Park. Slew was substituted in discomfort during the first half of the 1-0 win at Portsmouth a fortnight ago and has not featured since. He is now back with parent club Rovers to begin rehabilitation work but may return for Paul Dickov's side as his loan agreement runs until January.
