Swindon end interest in keeper

Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio has revealed goalkeeper Iain Turner won't be offered a contract after ending his trial at the club.

Turner came on as a substitute against Salisbury on Friday before starring for Bristol Rovers against Bristol City the following day in his bid to earn a deal. "We have decided to move on," Di Canio told the League One club's website. "He played with Bristol Rovers the day after Salisbury and he asked what was our intention in terms of to keep him or not. "To be honest I wasn't sure whether I should decide in one day or two days. I said to him that he can have the opportunity to negotiate with them because it's not fair to keep him and promise something that you can't maintain."
