Winger handed fresh two-year contract at Oakwell
Barnsley have rewarded winger Jim O'Brien with a new two-year contract at the Championship club.
O'Brien, 24, was a big hit at Oakwell last season and was just one of two players to have been offered a new deal.
He told the club's
official website: "I'm delighted to sign a new two-year contract and I am looking forward to the new season.
"I'm looking forward to getting a good pre-season to put down a good foundation for the season ahead.
"I'll be looking to stay fit for a whole season, stay in the team and do well.
"With Kelvin Etuhu and Jacob Mellis joining and the club being linked to some other players it is looking good.
"Barnsley has become home for me and I am settled here. I'm happy where I am and it was a big factor in wanting to remain here."
