Bury have decided not to appeal against Peter Sweeney's red card on Saturday.
The midfielder was sent off in the 90th-minute of the 4-1 defeat at Carlisle for lashing out at Francois Zoko. Bury say they do not want to risk Sweeney's three-match ban being extended if the appeal was unsuccessful. Sweeney will therefore miss the Shakers' home games against Wycombe and Scunthorpe and the trip to Preston.
