Boss slams Grecians defence

Image: Tisdale: Blasted team's defence

Exeter manager Paul Tisdale was unhappy with his side's defending as they crashed 2-1 at Notts County.

Lee Hughes was given time and space to fire County ahead and although Scot Bennett levelled for the Grecians, a Jeff Hughes penalty ensured the points stayed in Nottingham. Tisdale said: "To lose is disappointing. I felt we deserved something out of the game based on how much purpose we had in attack to push the opponents into their penalty box, even from a goal behind. "We gave them a goal and gave them something to hold on to and it's not easy scoring goals. Managers talk about conceding soft goals and their first was a very, very soft goal. "We couldn't have done much more to hand it to them on a plate. I'm philosophical about it - I know these things happen but it doesn't make it any easier to take. "It made life very difficult but we will bounce back from this."
