Brazilian full-back set to agree contract extension at Lazio

Andre Dias' agent claims his client is no rush to pen a new contract, but admits he is open to discussing an extension. The Brazilian full-back is currently tied to Lazio until 2013, but speculation is mounting regarding his future. Reports have suggested Serie A giants Juventus are keen, with a January raid possible. Lazio, though, are eager to retain the 32-year-old's services and are planning to talk terms. Dias' representative insists those discussions can wait for now, but he is confident an agreement can be reached with the Rome-based outfit.

Renewal

"He has a two-year contract with Lazio and we have a very good relationship with the team and with the president," Gilmar Rinaldi told Radio Set. "The renewal is a matter of time, with a few details to sort out, but we will do it. "Andre Dias is happy there and wants to stay beyond the end of his current deal for another year or two. "Interest from Juventus? No-one has even spoken to me. "I know he is happy in Rome and that Lazio wouldn't want to let him go."
