Defender James Chambers has signed a new one-year deal with Doncaster Rovers, the club have confirmed.
The full-back was out of contract and expected to be released this summer, having made just six league starts last term through injury.
However, manager Sean O'Driscoll believes the 30-year-old still has something to offer at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Comfortable at either left or right-back, the former West Brom and Watford man offers versatility and experience.
Rovers open up their Championship campaign at new boys Brighton on Saturday.
