Turkey goalkeeper Volkan Demirel will miss his country's Euro 2008 semi-final clash with Germany on Wednesday.
Fatih Terim's side had appealed a two-match ban handed out to their first-choice shot-stopper, but have seen that sanction upheld by Uefa.
The suspension relates to Demirel's dismissal in the closing stages of Turkey's thrilling 3-2 victory over Czech Republic in their final Group A fixture.
The Fenerbahce man missed the penalty shootout quarter-final victory over Croatia on Friday as a result, and will now be forced to once again watch on from the sidelines as his team-mates look to book a place in the final.
While the Turkish Football Federation must accept that they will be without Demirel for the encounter with Germany they will also have to pay a $42,100 (£21,500) fine for crowd disturbances and improper conduct of the team and officials after Uefa's appeals body also upheld that decision.
