Steve Staunton's side earn much-needed victory
Teenager Curtis Main scored the winner as Darlington collected only their second win of the season in the 1-0 defeat of Burton Albion.
A bright opening to the game saw early chances fall to both sides but Darlo took the lead in just the 6th minute, following a foul by Guy Branston on Mor Diop.
A quickly taken set-piece caught out the Burton defence and Main neatly side-stepped his man, before firing low into the far corner of the net from 12-yards.
Burton fluffed several chances to win but almost went two behind in the 78th minute, only for Tony James to clear Danny Groves' header off the line.
Steve Staunton's Darlo side climb closer to safety, but they remain seven points adrift of Torquay who are just above the drop zone.
