Giles Coke and Andy Bishop scored either side of half-time as Bury hit back from behind to beat Bournemouth 2-1 at Dean Court.
Bournemouth, who took the lead four minutes before half-time through Marc Pugh in Saturday's League One clash, only had themselves to blame, missing a hatful of first half chances. Wes Thomas was the chief culprit, wasting three great opportunities as Bournemouth continually opened up the Bury defence. He sent two close-range shots wide and, after Pugh had scored, was totally unmarked as he failed to hit the target with a header from six yards out. Pugh had been equally guilty, missing from a yard out, but at least he atoned shortly before half-time when Thomas flicked a deflected header into his path to put Bournemouth in front. Bury had posed little previous threat, but were level soon after when Coke equalised from 15 yards two minutes before half-time. Eight minutes into the second half, a deep cross from the right by Phil Picken picked out the unmarked Bishop, who drilled home Bury's winner.
